There you have it. Following last week’s controversial ending to the battle royal, a decision needed to be made about who will be facing Bray Wyatt at “Wrestlemania XXXIII”. AJ Styles and Luke Harper both seemed to hit the floor at the same time and that meant a match needed to take place the following week on “Smackdown Live”.

That match took place earlier tonight with Styles pinning Harper with a springboard 450 splash. While there is still time to change things around, that means Wyatt vs. Styles will take place at “Wrestlemania XXXIII” for the Smackdown World Title. It should be noted that Shane McMahon came out and restarted the match when Styles got a pin with Harper’s foot on the ropes. Later in the match, Harper accidentally superkicked McMahon but was pinned shortly thereafter.

Opinion: This isn’t likely to be the final decision for the title match and a lot of people know that. However, it’s still a big deal and something that was a good bit of a surprise. Harper vs. Orton vs. Wyatt seemed to be the guarantee but at the moment we’re getting Styles instead. It’s a better fit from an overall perspective but it’s not exactly the best story. There’s certainly time to change things though and that makes the show worth watching.
