The Wrestling Rumors Staff Gives Their “Payback” Predictions!

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. AJ Styles

In perhaps the most unpopular decision in the last few years, Roman Reigns ascended to the top of the mountain in WWE at WrestleMania, defeating Triple H in the main event and becoming the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Since then, Reigns’ has developed a new attitude, not claiming to be a good guy or a bad guy, simply stating that he is ‘the guy’.

The night after WrestleMania, AJ Styles defeated Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, and a returning Cesaro in a fatal 4-way match to become the no. 1 contender for the title. However, as exciting as that is, in my opinion, that is not the main focus of this storyline.

On the April 11 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows made history by attacking The Usos following their victory in the Tag Title Tournament.

It’s no secret that Styles is friends with both Anderson and Gallows, as they were all members of “The Bullet Club” in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Anderson and Gallows have also made it clear that have Styles’ back at “Payback” and will do anything to make sure that he walks out with the gold.

No doubt that Reigns will have something to say about that, in what should be a fantastic match to end the night.
