Even the mightiest warriors aren’t immune from a pandemic. Earlier today, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson posted a message to his Instagram page saying that himself, his wife, and his two children have all tested positive for COVID-19.

The Rock had the following to say about his condition and the experience of battling COVID-19 [h/t to Bleacher Report for the transcription]:

“I can tell you that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family, and for me personally too,” Johnson said in the video. “And I’ve gone through some doozies in the past. I’ve gotten knocked about and gotten my ass kicked a little bit, but testing positive for COVID-19 is much different than overcoming nasty injuries or being evicted or even being broke.”

He would go on to say that they all have recovered and are doing much better. He also encourages everyone to wear their mask, as well as stay healthy and safe.

Johnson was recently in the sporting news when he agreed to purchase the XFL back in August of this year.

Editor’s Opinion:

As someone who has had and battled through COVID-19, I can tell you from first-hand experience that this virus is no joke. It makes you sick, causes you to lose your sense of taste and smell for a few days, and generally make you feel absolutely horrible. This is wonderful news that he and his family have recovered and beat this thing. I echo his sentiments by saying that everyone needs to wear their mask, so that we can work together to beat this thing!
