It had been previously reported that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had recently said that he would consider running for the office of the President of the United States of America.

The Rock appeared on “The Tonight Show” last night to address these rumors, and said the following:

“It’s so flattering, and I think it’s because a lot of people want to see a different — I’m sorry not different, but better leadership today — and I think more poise, less noise. I think over the years I’ve become a guy that people relate to. Get up early in the morning, go to work, spend time with the troops, take care of my family; I love taking care of people. And I think that kind of thing really resonates with people today.”

He then said, “three and a half years is a long way away, so we’ll see.”

Editor’s Note:

Props to The Rock for addressing these rumors right away. As he said, there is still three and a half years before another election will take place, but it’s always fun to speculate!
