In any particular field, many of the best ideas are copied by other people, and used in their own way. Competing inside of a ring appears to be no different.

This weekend, at an FCC MMA contest, Jonno Mears used Chris Jericho’s finishing maneuver, The Walls of Jericho, to make his opponent tap out. You can see the footage of the sequence here:

This incident was seen by “Y2J,” who posted the following response:

Jericho was last seen on WWE Programming on the July 25 edition of “Smackdown Live.” He made a one-night only appearance, where he would compete against Kevin Owens and AJ Styles in a losing effort for the United States Championship. He is currently on tour with his band, “Fozzy,” and it is unknown when he will be returning to WWE.

I’m surprised it took this long for wrestling submission holds to make their way to MMA. Have you ever been locked in one of them? They really hurt! I would probably tap out to the Walls of Jericho myself!
