In times of great struggle, sometimes the boss has to sometimes step in and take care of things in their own personal way.

Tonight on “Smackdown Live,” it was announced that commissioner Shane McMahon would be taking Baron Corbin’s spot on his brand’s team for “Survivor Series.” He will now team with Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose and World Champion AJ Styles to take on the team of Seth Rollins, Chris Jericho, Braun Strowman, United States Champion Roman Reigns and Universal Champion Kevin Owens of “Monday Night Raw.”

Corbin was scheduled to face Kalisto in a match on tonight’s show. Even though Corbin attacked Kalisto before the bell, Corbin fell from the ring apron and tweaked his knee. Kalisto would attack the knee relentlessly until the segment was over.

After both McMahon and GM Daniel Bryan learned that Corbin would be unable to compete at “Survivor Series,” he asked of Shane would like to replace him on the team. Himself, along with the whole arena did a “YES” chant to end the show.

Editor’s Note:

This adds a whole new twist to the match, and I like it. Anytime that Shane McMahon is physically involved, it adds another layer of importance to the contest. The fact that is he good in the ring enhances the level of competition that we will see in this important match.
