Kenny Omega Admits He Is Jealous of Roman Reigns

Acknowledge him. Kenny Omega recently made some comments about former WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns on a recent Twitch stream, saying positive things about The Tribal Chief.

“I’m not going to accept Roman Reigns slander in this chat. I think he’s incredible. I don’t think he’s boring either. I would actually say that I’m pretty jealous because Roman Reigns is presented in the exact same way that I would love to be presented. He’s presented as the man who is the champion to have big matches at the pay-per-views where you’re either really cheering for him or you’re cheering for someone else. That’s professional wrestling. He’s getting to do what I did in New Japan so I can’t be a hater on that. I’m a fan.”

Kenny Omega has been out of action ‘indefinitely’ since December 2023, following a diagnosis of diverticulitis.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but can more members of the AEW roster be like Kenny Omega? The company has been so focused on taking shots at WWE, instead of working on their own product, and it’s becoming incredibly noticeable to the majority of wrestling fans. It’s refreshing to hear one of AEW’s biggest stars acknowledge when someone from another promotion is doing good things.
