The card is still growing. We are about a week away from Backlash, which will see WWE’s first premium live event in France. As a result, WWE is going to want to push the show as hard as possible and that will include a variety of matches. WWE has quite a few things left to do to make the card ready and now they are a lot closer as more matches have been officially announced.

WWE announced three new matches for Backlash this week on SmackDown. First up, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will challenge the Kabuki Warriors for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Next, Bayley will defend the WWE women’s Title against both Naomi and Tiffany Stratton in a triple threat match. Finally, the Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga will team together against Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in Tonga’s first match on the WWE roster. Backlash is scheduled for May 4 in Lyon, France.

It was a busy night. Check out how all three matches were advanced:

Opinion: This is the kind of night that Backlash has been needing, as the show has only had so much set up. Adding three more matches to the show in a single night is a good way to go and WWE caught up a lot of ground in a short amount of time. I could go for seeing something else like this, but at least Backlash’s card has started to take shape about a week out.
