She’s coming home.

According to a report from ESPNformer WWE Diva Kaitlyn will be returning to the company as a competitor in the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament. It will be her first time to compete under the WWE banner since 2014.

Kaitlyn worked for WWE from 2010-2014. During her tenure, she was the winner of NXT Season 3 in 2010, captured the Divas Championship once, and was ranked #5 on Pro Wrestling Illustraded’s PWI 50 top female wrestlers of the year in 2013.

Kaitlyn, whose real name is Celeste Bonin, was recently interviewed by ESPN regarding her return; below are some highlights from the interview:

On returning to WWE:

“Since I came back, I had the opportunity to work backward and really nail down the fundamentals and the basics — things that I really lacked during my first run with the WWE,” Bonin said. “Now I am bringing these newly honed and developed skills that I have acquired recently and I am combining that with my fearless attitude. And because I don’t have this rookie vibe about me, now I can really concentrate on surprising the WWE universe with all the things I have learned.”

On competing in a wrestling ring:

“The highs and lows and the adrenaline rushes and the quick thinking on your feet — it came rushing back to me,” Bonin said. “Anytime you step back in the ring, it’s the same rush and you never get used to it. There is always this fear and this question of ‘Oh, my gosh, can I do this?’ And to me that’s part of what makes it amazing.”

They also discuss her other interests, how WWE has changed and more.

Editor’s Opinion:

YES! I have been a fan of hers for a long time, and always thought that she was one of the most talented female wrestlers that the company has seen. If she ends up staying for a long time, she could do great things in WWE and raise the level of competition!
