Freaking ow man. There’s no secret that wrestling is a violent business. The wrestlers go out there and put their bodies on the line for the sake of entertaining the fans. That means they’re in danger of suffering an injury every time they’re out there and there are very few exceptions. As it turns out there, is also the chance that people around the ring could get hurt and that was the case with a big name as of late.

It may be broken in half!

On Saturday night at the New Japan Pro Wrestling G1 Climax Special in San Francisco, Jim Ross was injured during one of the matches. During the United States Title match between Juice Robinson and Jay White, the barricade wasn’t held together properly and was knocked into Ross, resulting in him suffering a rib injury. According to Wrestlinginc.com, Ross claims the injury is real and that he has had to cancel three appearances as a result of the injury.

Opinion: I’m not sure on this being entirely real thanks to Ross’ commentary partner Josh Barnett immediately jumping up and seemingly turning it into an angle. That’s all well and good of course as you have to set up angles and having the mostly beloved Ross get injured is a fine way to go about such a thing. If Ross is really hurt, it’s all the more effective as he’s one of the most beloved names in all of wrestling. In theory this sets up a match with Barnett fighting for his buddy’s honor and that should work fine.

Do you like Ross being included in an angle? Will this lead to a Barnett match? Let us know in the comments below.
