It would appear that WWE…is out of damn luck.
Storm would then offer Roode a beer, in which his reply was: “Money.”
The wrestling world was abuzz when Storm made his debut in NXT back on October 21 of last year. Himself, along with Samoa Joe and others were among many big names from the indy scene and other well-known promotions to make the jump to NXT.
It had been previously reported that Storm and WWE were in negotiations on a contract, but nothing had come to fruition.
Storm has had tremendous success in TNA, and is one of the most important superstars in the history of the company. A 13-time tag team champion, he has been a part of two of the most important teams in TNA’s history: “America’s Most Wanted” with “Wildcat” Chris Harris, and “Beer Money” with former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Bobby Roode.
Editor’s Note:
While I’m disappointed that we won’t see Storm in an NXT ring anytime soon, this is certainly great news for TNA. I guess he felt that he had to do what was best for his career and his family, and you can’t argue with anyone for making that logic. However, don’t rule out seeing the “Cowboy” in NXT again one day. Never say never in the wrestling business.
