Former TNA Knockouts Champion Wants to Enter WWE Women’s Tournament

It had been previously reported that WWE has been discussing plans for a women’s tournament that would be similar in format to this summer’s “Cruiserweight Classic.”

If the tournament were to occur, there is potential for it to be incredibly “beautiful.”

Former 6-time TNA Knockouts Champion Angelina Love posted the following on Twitter recently, indicating her desire to participate in the tournament:

Love was last seen on TNA programming during the September 9, 2015 edition of “Impact” Wrestling. Her arm was broken as a part of a storyline attack backstage, which allowed her to be written off of TV.

Her contract expired in March of this year, and she decided not to return to the company due to her pregnancy.

A former 6-time Knockouts Champion, Love is most known in TNA for her role as a member of “The Beautiful People,” along with Velvet Sky. She had been with the company off and on since 2007, as was rated as the #2 female wrestler in the world by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in both 2009 and 2010.

This would be absolutely amazing. I’ve been a fan of Love’s since I first saw her perform in TNA, and her abilities both inside and outside of the ring are outstanding on every level. Not only could her experience in the business be a huge benefit to the women of NXT, but she could receive the exposure that a performer of her caliber deserves.
