Asuka is the best female performer in NXT right now by a mile. She’s also undefeated, which means that her first defeat is going to be a huge moment for the woman that beats her first. It’ll also be a big test to see if Asuka can keep her momentum going.

Historically, huge losses like that are difficult to comeback from, especially for someone who loses a championship. NXT has the benefit of being a developmental system, so she can just move to the main roster whenever she loses the NXT Women’s title, right?

According to a report from CageSideSeats, WWE officials aren’t planning on bringing Asuka to Raw or SmackDown anytime soon. In fact, there is some debate about if she’ll ever be brought to the main roster after her run in NXT has subsided.

The plan is for Asuka to be the core of the NXT women’s division the same way Bayley was for the year. She’ll be used to help rebuild the division, which is a great thing. But, there are still several interesting matches and feuds for her to have in WWE.
