Another one added to the roster. According to a report from PWInsider, former Impact Wrestling Star Trevor Lee has signed with WWE. He made the announcement at the end of a CWF Mid-Atlantic event in Gibsonville, North Carolina.
Lee was squashed by Killer Kross on the most recent episode of Impact Wrestling, most likely to write him off of television. You can see a clip of the aftermath of that match below:
Lee announced on January 1, 2019 that he was officially a free agent and that he was leaving Impact Wrestling.
Today I am officially a Free Agent.
I want to thank @IMPACTWRESTLING for all the friends I have made and knowledge I have learned. #ZNA— Trevor Lee (@CGrimesWWE) January 1, 2019
One other caveat to this story is that he is still the reigning CWF Mid-Atlantic Champion. However, he announced that he will be back for their show on February 2 in Gibsonville, where he will be defending the championship in a six-way match.
Editor’s Note:
Although I am not familiar with his work, I’m sure that he will do great things in NXT. It’s always fun to see talent from other promotions come to WWE and potentially some dream matches that we never thought possible!
