Ouch. Every now and then, you’re going to see a wrestler get injured. There are all kinds of ways for someone to be put on the injured list, though some of them can be more severe than others. At the same time, there are injuries that are nowhere near as bad as they might look. In the current case though, it isn’t clear what’s going on, but it’s happened to an important name.

According to a post on Twitter, reigning Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy injured his knee at a WWE live event in Charleston, West, Virginia. Murphy landed on his knee during a title defense against Cedric Alexander and seemed to be hurt. There is no word on the severity of the injury or how the match ended. Murphy is currently scheduled to defend his title in a four way match at the Royal Rumble.

Murphy is very good when he’s at full health. Check out this great match against Gran Metalik:

Gran Metalik vs. Buddy Murphy: WWE 205 Live, Dec. 12, 2018

Opinion: Hopefully this isn’t anything serious. While you never want to see anyone get hurt, it’s even worse when it happens to someone who is currently a bigger name. Murphy became one of the biggest surprises of 2018 and I hope that he gets to showcase himself even more in the coming year. There’s still a chance that he won’t be injured very badly, which hopefully is the case here.

What do you think of Murphy? Who do you want to see take the title from him? Let us know in the comments below.
