One of the major questions heading into this year’s “Royal Rumble” concerned Finn Balor. Would the “Demon King” be one of the surprise entrants and make his return to the company, following a nasty injury at last year’s “SummerSlam?”

Balor reminded us of his status with the following tweet, which was posted after the “Royal Rumble” event:

The tweet states also reminds us that although Balor suffered series injuries during his match with Seth Rollins at “SummerSlam,” he still finished the match and was able to defeat “The Architect” to be come the first WWE Universal Champion in the history of the company.

Although many fans hoped that we would see Balor this past weekend, it has been previously reported that his scheduled return date is in March; right around the time of WrestleMania 33.

Editor’s Note:

I’m not going to lie; I seriously thought that the “Demon King” would return and be the winner of the “Royal Rumble” this year. Oh well, I guess Randy Orton is not a bad consolation prize.
