It had been previously reported that WWE is producing a Women’s Tournament that will air this summer, exclusively on the WWE Network.

A new report from PWInsider has provided some further details about what we can expect from the event.

As of now, the plan is to begin filming episodes of the tournament in July and these will most likely take place at Full Sail University, where NXT is typically broadcast from. In addition, all of the episodes will be released as once, as opposed to a weekly format like last year’s “Cruiserweight Classic.”

Also, the tournament will have a big focus on international competitors, much like the CWC. Talents are already going through the traditional background checks that take place before WWE offers deals as well.

The finals of the tournament will reportedly be held as a live WWE Network special on Tuesday, August 29. In addition to this special, the current plan is for 8-10 “episodes” of the Women’s Tournament total.
