Last night on “Smackdown Live,” WWE ran this promo video, announcing that Curt Hawkins would be making his return to the brand very soon:
Get ready for @TheCurtHawkins, COMING SOON to #SDLive! https://t.co/E2BoSxhQz5

It appears that they will be doing a Chuck Norris type gimmick with him, with several “facts” about Hawkins.
Although Hawkins resigned with the company on July 21 of this year, he is just now being groomed to make his return to television.
He is most well known for his run on the main roster as a part of a tag team with Zack Ryder. In 2008, they won the WWE Tag Team Championships from John Morrison and The Miz, losing them to Carlito and Primo Colon two months later.
Hawkins was last seen on WWE programming on the May 22, 2014 episode of NXT, where he lost a match to Adrian Neville. He has since spent time on the independent circuit, Global Force Wrestling and TNA.
Editor’s Note:
So Chuck Norris has actually been Curt Hawkins all along. It makes total sense now. Seriously though, I hope that he has a successful run with the company. If he doesn’t work out as an on-screen performer, he could certainly be used as a trainer at the performance center, as he has several years of experience in the business.
