One of the biggest stories of the week has been the news that Dean Ambrose is planning to leave WWE when is contract expires after WrestleMania 35. This story has even been confirmed by the company.
But how is everyone in the locker room feeling about this situation?
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that while he believes that the story is real, there are many in the company that feel that the entire situation is a work. The reason for this is because WWE announced it on their website.
It was also mentioned that most of the talent was aware of this decision prior to Raw on Monday, but some did not find out until it was officially announced on Tuesday.
The Lunatic Fringe had a strange encounter with Nia Jax this past week on Raw, you can see it below:
Meltzer mentioned that creative had no idea that he was planning to exit the company prior to his segment with Jax on Raw. While many are surprised that he turned down a lucrative contract offer, Ambrose is very unhappy and doesn’t care about the money.
Editor’s Opinion:
I still feel that this story is currently real, but that there is still time for a deal to be reached prior to WrestleMania.
