The “Tough Enough” journey has come to an end, with two new names now a part of the WWE family.

In the season finale of “Tough Enough” Tuesday evening, Josh and Sara were each awarded $250,000 WWE developmental contracts and will continue to train at the Performance Center. Josh earned 70% of the vote, while Sara earned 64%.

Each of the final four contestants had to go through a rigorous process to reach the finale. Out of 11,000 applicants, 13 were selected to make up this season’s cast of “Tough Enough,” and throughout the 10 weeks of the show, they underwent multiple challenges and training with each of the coaches.

Through their respective performances and comments from the coaches and judges, the WWE Universe took 13 and dwindled them down to just four. Following the finalists taking part in their first matches on live television, Josh and Sara were voted as the winners.

During the finale, Jericho helped each contestant come up with their entrance music and ring attire before they stepped inside the squared circle. Alicia Fox defeated each of the female contestants, while Cesaro defeated each of the male contestants in matches that were roughly two minutes in length.

At the end of the night, Triple H awarded the contracts to Josh and Sara.

It was a tough go (no pun intended) for “Tough Enough” this season, with everything from low ratings to a judging change altering the show’s perception. However, two new potential superstars have been crowned, and time will tell if they can succeed on the grand stage.

Editor’s Note:

This season fell completely flat, and I lost interest about halfway through. The challenges didn’t mean anything, and I felt that the format allowed the most qualified contestants to be voted off the show. Still, I wish Sara and Josh the best of luck and hope that they are successful as WWE superstars.
