As previously reported here at WrestlingRumors.net, WWE superstar Randy Orton will be the lead in WWE Studios’ sequel to “The Condemned” entitled, “The Condemned 2: Desert Prey.”
Because of this, Orton will need time off from performing in the ring to film the movie.
WWE has already pulled him from the upcoming European tour. He was scheduled to face a returning “Y2J” Chris Jericho at the shows, but due to his absence, Bray Wyatt will be the one competing in those bouts.
With the exception of the Nov. 3 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” Orton isn’t advertised for any other episodes for the remainder of the month.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE may write off Orton on Nov. 3 through an injury angle to explain his departure to work on the movie.
He’s still expected to be a part of WWE “Survivor Series” in some capacity. He’ll more than likely be added to either Team Cena or Team Authority in the traditional elimination tag team match.
Editor’s Note
Take it for what it’s worth, but Orton isn’t currently advertised for “Survivor Series” either. Considering the show is taking place in his hometown of St. Louis, I fully expect him to be added at a later date.
