You can never say WWE Diva Charlotte isn’t a confident woman.
A video package of the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair aired during the Aug. 6 edition of “Smackdown,” hyping up one of the integral faces of the Divas Revolution.
“The NXT Divas have come up and said, ‘Hey this is a revolution, we’re changing the game.’ That’s my focus.”
“I will main event WrestleMania,” Charlotte said in the video.
To date, no woman in WWE history has competed in the main event of a WrestleMania. There also hasn’t been an all-female main event for a pay-per-view either, although there have been some instances where that’s been the case on “Monday Night Raw.”
Charlotte even mentioned current UFC Champion Ronda Rousey, and how she strives to take the Divas division to Ronda-esque heights.
“Look at Ronda Rousey, the highest grossing fighter right now. That’s where the Divas division is going,” Charlotte said.
“The sky is the limit for me, and I plan to go places no other Diva has been before.”
Editor’s Note
I’m rooting for her. Change in professional wrestling is inevitable. A Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks main event won over fans in Philadelphia, which is extremely difficult to do. The next logical step is taking the ladies of the Divas Revolution and letting them close a pay-per-view. It may happen sooner than we think.
