4. Cesaro

The Undertaker walks across the top rope for his “Old School” club to the back. Cesaro counters the maneuver and delivers a vicious uppercut, causing the WWE Universe to go wild.

How cool would that have been?

The newly-dubbed “King of Swing” has seen his stock rise significantly in 2014. Solid showings against the likes of Randy Orton and John Cena have given management the confidence they need to finally push the “Swiss Superman” as a solo act.

The plan was put into motion at WrestleMania when Cesaro won the first-ever Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He then became a Paul Heyman guy the following night on “Monday Night RAW,” thus providing himself with a mouthpiece to cover up what’s arguably his biggest weakness; his mic work.

It’s a shame that alliance didn’t come into fruition a tad sooner. Heyman could have led Cesaro into battle against Undertaker and still have the title of being the strategist behind the breaking of the streak.

3. Roman Reigns

We never got a definitive conclusion to The Shield vs. Undertaker storyline which began approx. one year ago. Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins delivered a triple powerbomb to the future WWE Hall-of-Famer on an episode of “Friday Night SmackDown,” putting him on the sidelines until his eventual return for WrestleMania.

An Undertaker vs. Reigns match would have had some history behind it considering the attack. It wouldn’t have taken much effort to throw him right back in the thick of things with The Shield, as long as fans were given a refresher on what had happened previously.

Of the three members, Reigns has the most to gain from a split. We even reported back in February that a match between Reigns and COO Triple H was being tossed around backstage for New Orleans, although it now appears that we’ll be seeing it at “WWE SummerSlam” in August.

He has a natural charisma to him that makes him an instant hit with both men and women. Rollins and Ambrose will be fine on their own, but Reigns is the one that’s going to be pushed as the next big thing.

Reigns’ spear is quickly becoming one of the most feared moves in the company. We’ve seen Undertaker kick out of several finishers in the past, but imagine what it could have done for Reigns had one spear put him down for the three-count.
