It was a rough night at the office for Sting at “Night of Champions” on Sunday night. Not only did the 56-year-old fall short in his attempt at capturing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, but it also looks like he wasn’t able to leave the Toyota Center in Houston unscathed.
During the main event bout, Sting appeared to have legitimately injured himself after taking a turnbuckle powerbomb from Rollins.

F4WOnline.com confirms that Sting was in fact hurt, with that spot not at all written up for the match.
Details of what the injury is are unknown, but it was noted that the injury does look to be rather significant.
WrestlingRumors.net will continue to update this story as more details emerge.
Editor’s Note
Yes, Sting was in the main event of a pay-per-view in 2015. Yes, Sting is 56 years old. It’s never fun seeing anyone on the roster get hurt, but perhaps this is a blessing in disguise. He has his WrestleMania moment. He has his win from “Monday Night Raw.” He’s competed against a top young star and a competitor from the past. What else is there to do, really?
