During the March 30 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar went on a rampage after being denied a rematch for the title by Seth Rollins.
His attack involved flipping over the announce table on JBL and Booker T, as well as delivering an F5 to lead announcer Michael Cole.
WWE is set to give “The Beast Incarnate” a massive face run, so that sequence was used to push him in the right direction, similar to how “Stone Cold” Steve Austin would defy authority and do whatever he wanted.
WWE.com is teasing that Cole may take legal action against Lesnar for the injuries he sustained:
“While The Beast Incarnate has already been suspended indefinitely by Stephanie McMahon, reports are surfacing that Cole is threatening legal action against the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion. As a result, one has to wonder whether there will be additional fallout over the incident? Will The Authority chose, for instance, to take Paul Heyman to task for any instigation that he may have caused as Brock’s advocate? Will extra precautions be taken to assure that this type of carnage will does not happen again? Or, will it just be about getting back on track, with Extreme Rules only weeks away?”
It was reported that Cole suffered a “cervical fracture” and “damaged vertebrae” as the result of the F5.
Editor’s Note
I’m floored that WWE would even consider bringing Cole back on television this soon with those “injuries.” Way to play it up that he’s really hurt…..
