Former WWE superstar Batista has been a busy man in Hollywood as of late.
His Marvel superhero film Guardians of the Galaxy was a huge success, grossing $774.2 million worldwide in 2014 and becoming the second highest-grossing movie in North America all year.
According to GamesRadar.com, director James Gunn has revealed that the official start date for filming of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will be in Feb. 2016.
With WrestleMania 32 taking place on April 3, 2016 at AT&T Stadium in Texas, it’s going to be extremely difficult for the former World Heavyweight Champion to make appearances leading up to the show, let alone compete at the big event.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been able to juggle film schedules to appear on WWE programming in the past, but with travel and how early in filming it will be, it’s hard to imagine Batista being able to take part in WrestleMania 32.
He’s stated in the past that he’d like one more match with Triple H to put a close to his in-ring career.
Editor’s Note
Well that’s a shame. WWE needs all the star power it can muster to fill up that giant stadium. Batista won’t make or break anything, but his presence would certainly help.
