Two of the strongest and toughest superstars in WWE today will battle it out for the United States Championship at “WWE Payback” in Chicago when Sheamus defends against Cesaro.

Sheamus recently won the United States Championship on the May 5th edition of “Monday Night Raw” in a 20-man over-the-top-rope battle royal. He eliminated former champion Dean Ambrose to earn himself the second US. championship reign of his career.

These two have faced each other several times before, including at “Monday Night Raw” last week in England. Cesaro emerged victorious after nailing “The Celtic Warrior” with a german suplex. The champion offered his hand out in an act of good sportsmanship, but “The King of Swing” wanted no part of it, leaving the ring shortly thereafter.

Then on the following “Friday Night Smackdown,” Cesaro attacked Sheamus during his match with Alberto Del Rio. He even mockingly shook his hand as the irishman was laid out on the mat.

Editor’s Note

This match could steal the show, in my opinion. It will be interesting to see who walks out with the belt, as Sheamus hasn’t been champion for very long. Then again, WWE has a lot of stock in Cesaro at the moment. Can he really afford a loss like this?
