With “Monday Night Raw” taking place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago later tonight, Stephanie McMahon made her media rounds earlier in the morning to promote the event.

While doing an interview with WGN Morning News, McMahon was asked about former WWE superstar CM Punk and whether she believes he will ever return to the company.

She responded by saying that Punk is “an incredible character” and they “had a lot of fun with him” and “who knows what the future holds.”

Punk’s attorneys recently got in touch with WWE over royalties and the use of his likeness. WWE continued to pay Punk royalty checks even after he left the company unexpectedly.

That process eventually stopped after Punk was in breach of his contract.

He hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since WWE “Royal Rumble” in January.

Editor’s Note

Never say never in sports entertainment. As bad as the breakup was, Punk will one day get over these grievances and return to WWE. It’s just a matter of when at this point.
