WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall was originally advertised to be a part of Global Force Wrestling’s roster, with the promotion’s website featuring the former four-time Intercontinental Champion on its website.
A recent incident at the Skate and Surf Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey, was reported to be part of the reason why Hall was inevitably removed.
The 56-year-old allegedly got into a drunken argument with event officials before being escorted from the premises after demanding pay for showing up.
“The event was too well run for us to make a fool of ourselves by allowing him to appear,” said promotor Ricky Otazu to TMZ Sports. “We will no longer be associated with him until he gets his life in order.”
Al Haft of the I Believe In Wrestling Dojo, where Hall apparently works at, notes that his departure from Global Force may have something to do with WWE (via WrestlingInc.com):
“There was some talk at Jersey Championship Wrestling that Scott Hall was pulling out of Global Force Wrestling due to the size they were becoming and not wanting to upset WWE especially after Hall’s WrestleMania appearance.”
Hall was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 5, 2014, under the “Razor Ramon” gimmick.
Editor’s Note
Hall has begun building a strong relationship with WWE, leaving the door open for him to be involved with the company in some capacity in the future. Working for Global Force Wrestling would strain that bond, which may not ultimately be worth it.
