A few names emerged as potential partners this past week, with “The Viper” Randy Orton and Jimmy Uso both being teased, although The Wyatt Family quickly disposed of both competitors.
NXT’s Baron Corbin was rumored to be a surprise partner, with images emerging online of a “Night of Champions” package involving the 31-year-old.
During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that the pictures featuring Corbin are 100 percent fake, and that there are currently no plans for him to be involved at the pay-per-view.
Despite being beat down last week on “Monday Night Raw,” Orton may be appearing tonight during the show to seek retribution against Bray Wyatt and company, although that hasn’t been confirmed.

Editor’s Note
Thank goodness it’s likely not going to be Corbin. WWE already has their quota of new talent met in this six-man tag with Strowman. Too many new cooks in the kitchen could create some problems for the already established names.
