Based off the way he debuted at WWE “Survivor Series” on Nov. 23, it would appear that plans are now set in motion for Sting to battle Triple H at WrestleMania 31.
That may not be the case, though.
As of Nov. 22, WWE officials were reportedly still planning on having Sting take on a returning Undertaker at the big event, although Taker’s health will ultimately determine whether or not that comes to fruition.
There’s no word yet on if WWE is changing course and giving Sting’s inevitable WrestleMania feud to Triple H.
There is also a possibility that a Sting vs. Triple H bout takes place in the months leading to WrestleMania 31. WWE “Royal Rumble” on Jan. 25 is a strong possibility.
Sting has mentioned numerous times in the past that he would like to compete at least once for the company, although the door is now open for him to compete on multiple occasions if need be.
What this all ultimately adds up to is Sting ending his in-ring career after WrestleMania and finding himself inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Editor’s Note
Personally, having one match at WrestleMania 31 would quench my thirst for Sting wrestling in a WWE ring. There are plenty of “dream matches” out there, but I’m also not naive enough to think that he can still go full throttle at his age..
