Over the past two weeks, members of the WWE Universe have been fortunate enough to witness two classics between “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro and John Cena for the WWE United States Championship on “Monday Night Raw.”

While Cesaro didn’t walk away with the belt, his performance during both encounters has opened a lot of eyes, with WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross saying the former Tag Team Champion needs to be turned loose as a main eventer.

“Hardcore Legend” Mick Foley, recently took to Facebook to hype up Cesaro even more than he has in the past:

I CHANGED MY MIND

I used to think that Cesaro was a guy who would have made a great world-champion in a BYGONE era – a champion in the mold of a Lou Thesz, a Harley Race, a Jack Brisco, a Dory Funk Jr. But after seeing Cesaro in action these past few weeks, I’ve changed my mind, Cesaro would make a great world-champion in ANY era, including the PRESENT WWE era!

I’d love to see Cesaro – WWE added into the Kevin Owens John Cena – WWE Universe mix at some point – possibly at Summerslam.

Cena is currently scheduled to defend his United States Championship against Kevin Owens at WWE “Battleground,” although Dave Meltzer of PWInsider.com reports that there’s a possibility Cesaro gets tossed into the bout next week to make it a Triple Threat.

Editor’s Note

Fans, legends and fellow wrestlers all know how good Cesaro is. Now it’s time for WWE officials to join in on the fun.
