According to a report by SEScoops.com, current TNA announcer and Aces & Eights member Taz did in fact make an attempt to return to the WWE when his TNA contract expired.

Taz was hoping to reach a deal with the company in time for him to appear on WWE RAW in Brooklyn, New York, which took place after the Money in the Bank PPV.

However, executive producer Kevin Dunn showed no interest in bringing back Taz, which ultimately led to the former two-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion signing a new deal with TNA Impact Wrestling.
