Fans of WWE superstar Daniel Bryan will be most welcoming to a positive update on the former World Heavyweight Champion’s health.
While doing promotional work for the season three premiere of WWE “Total Divas,” Brie Bella revealed that her husband, Bryan, will not need a second surgery, per SEScoops.com.
A recent report from David Shoemaker of Grantland noted that Bryan would require “Tommy John” surgery, keeping him out of action for another three months. It looks like that won’t be the case, though.
Bryan has been away from WWE since the “Extreme Rules” pay-per-view after undergoing neck surgery to repair long-term nerve damage.
He was forced to surrender the WWE World Heavyweight Championship because of it.
In a recent interview with BetweenTheRopes.com, Bryan said that he was scheduled for “Tommy John” surgery, however, doctors wanted to perform more tests to make sure it was absolutely necessary.
If all checks out, Bryan could be cleared to compete by the “Royal Rumble” event in January.
Editor’s Note
The sooner Bryan can return to action, the better. The fan involvement and interaction his character garners is unparalleled. WWE programming could use more of that. No need to rush his recovery if it hurts his longevity, though.
