Charlotte on Joining Main Roster, Advice She's Received

Former NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte recently sat down with Cleveland.com to discuss a number of wrestling-related topics, including her possibly joining the main roster in the near future.

Here are some of the highlights:

Q: You’ve been NXT Women’s Champion before and will look to regain the belt. What does it mean to be champion?

A: To represent the future and represent NXT. I think it means a lot to be champ of the Divas division. I take it very serious and it was an honor. Every time I step out there I want to represent NXT as a whole.

Q: What’s the best advice your father has given you about wrestling?

A: To believe in myself and to not take to heart what others think about you. It’s a very critical business. He also told me, “Don’t do something unless you want to be the best.

Q: There’s a lot of speculation that you’ll be moving up to the WWE ranks soon. Care to comment on that?

A: Right now I’m just focused on what I have going on at NXT. Until the day they bring me up, I would make that my next focus. It would mean a lot to me coming from NXT. For now, I want to continue to build the NXT brand.
