Finn Balor, one of NXT’s hottest young superstars, may be making his debut on WWE’s main roster in the very near future.
According to a report by PWInsider.com, WWE officials had discussions over bringing both Balor and Adrian Neville (now simply known as Neville) to the main roster as recent as WrestleMania 31 week.
Neville made his debut on “Monday Night Raw” the night after WrestleMania 31, leading many to believe that Balor won’t be far behind.
If this is true, Balor would leave the NXT brand without a championship reign. Current NXT Champion Kevin Owens is expected to have a lengthy run with the gold that isn’t expected to end any time soon.
Balor is currently overseas with WWE for its tour of the United Kingdom. With both “Raw” and “Smackdown” being taped at the O2 Arena in London, perhaps Balor will show up on one of the two shows.
Editor’s Note
It seems like a risky move to have so many guys from NXT arrive on the main roster at once, especially with Neville and Kalisto of the Lucha Dragons gaining traction. Then again, Balor’s popularity is so immense that perhaps now is the time to pull the trigger and see what kind of reaction he can get.
