While the main focus of WWE’s buildup right now is on Royal Rumble, they are also casting an eye toward their biggest event of the year, WrestleMania. They decided to help get their fans geared up for the event with a poll asking them who they wanted to main event WrestleMania 33. At least, there was a poll, but that’s no longer the case. The poll has been taken down.
An enterprising Redditor wrote down the poll results before WWE.com took the poll down, and according to them AJ Styles was running away with things. Styles got a whopping 40 percent of the vote. In second place was The Undertaker, who got 12 percent, followed by Finn Balor at 10 percent.
Now, the internet, being the internet, presumes that the WWE took down the poll because they weren’t happy with the results. They were so disappointed with Styles running away with things that they scrubbed the poll from their website.

This seems a bit dubious. Styles is, after all, World Heavyweight Champion, so the company clearly isn’t down on him. Maybe they felt like fans were skewing the poll results in some way. It wouldn’t be the first time that happened with an internet poll. Perhaps a small number of Styles fans ruined things for everybody else. Or maybe the internet is right and it’s a vast anti-Styles conspiracy. Either way, it’d be cool if Styles did main event WrestleMania. Just don’t count on it.
