Throughout much of Kurt Angle’s wrestling career, he was struggling with addiction behind the scenes. Alcoholism and drug use led to numerous DUI arrests and finally landed him in rehab in the summer of 2013.

Thankfully, after a short break he was able to return, going on to earn a spot in the TNA Hall of Fame and even acting as the Executive Director of Wrestling Operations for a short time. Kurt ended up really pulling it together, and now he wants to help others who may be in the same position he was. That’s why he’s decided to create an addiction recovery app called Anglestrong.

Anglestrong aims to get family and friends involved in the recovery process. The patient using the app is encouraged to check-in with their progress every day, and if they don’t their loved ones will be notified. This will keep recovering addicts accountable and remind them of what they’re working toward.

He’s partnered with the companies behind supplements Levare and Advyndra for the creation of this app. Levare is a natural supplement meant to be an opiate replacement that promotes pain relief, and Advyndra both reduces stress and boosts mental clarity.
