They have been doing Royal Rumble matches ever since 1988. Over the years, a lot of wrestlers have competed in several Royal Rumbles. Some have even won more than one Royal Rumble. However, by one measurement, there is one man who emerges as king of the Royal Rumble. That man is Glen Jacobs.
In case the name Glen Jacobs doesn’t mean anything to you, you probably know him better as Kane. However, he has not set his records solely as Kane. Jacobs has been in more Royal Rumble matches than anybody else, either in the guise of Kane or the fake Diesel or the evil wrestling dentist Isaac Yankem.
Jacobs has been in 19 Royal Rumbles. By comparison, Shawn Michaels has been in the second most with 12. On top of that, Jacobs has also eliminated the most wrestlers in total, a whopping 44. Alas, Kane has lost his record for the most eliminations in a single Royal Rumble, as Roman Reigns eliminated 12 in 2014, besting Kane’s record of 11.

Of course, for all this success, Jacobs has never won the Royal Rumble in any of his iterations. He will likely add to his appearances record at this month’s Royal Rumble, and he may even add an elimination or two. He’s also definitely not going to win. Still, kudos to Jacobs for his record setting Royal Rumble performances. Not bad for a guy who started as a wrestling dentist.
