The rumored lineup for WrestleMania 34 is starting to shape up. At the Royal Rumble, fans witnessed both Shinsuke Nakamura and Asuka win their respective matches and head to face a world champion at the grandest stage of them all. At the conclusion of the pay-per-view, Ronda Rousey appeared and made it clear that she has her sights on competing in New Orleans as well.

The undercard of WrestleMania is still developing, and there are numerous speculations about what matches will occur. Regarding the Intercontinental Championship, The Miz was able to defeat Roman Reigns with the assistance of the Miztourage on Raw 25, and was able to retain it on this past Raw.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, right now the planned IC Title match for 4/8 is The Miz defending against Braun Strowman. This very well could be why he defeated Roman Reigns twice, for the purposes of making the stock of the championship rise heading into WrestleMania.

Here is The Miz retaining his title against Reigns on this past Raw.

While this IC title match is planned, there could be a huge snag in the process. As reported by ESPN via Pop Culture, the Miz and Maryse are due to have their baby just around WrestleMania. This means, if Maryse goes into labor the day of the event, The Miz will miss WrestleMania.

Miz made it very clear to ESPN that he will not miss his first child being born.

“The only thing my wife asked me was that [she wanted me to be there],” said Miz. “I literally have a private jet on call at all times. I will spend whatever amount of money to get there, to be there and support her and witness my first child being born because I am ecstatic. I don’t want to be the dad that’s not there. I don’t want the kid to ever think that I wasn’t there. I want her to be the one that says you were there, you guided me, you supported me in the best way you knew how.”

Maybe it would be best for WWE to work around this, but as of now, Miz will still most likely head into WrestleMania as the Intercontinental Champion.
