Rusev’s dominance has seen its highs and lows, but his WWE legacy is just getting started.
Perhaps his most notable accomplishment is his 11-month long undefeated streak. Amidst this timeframe, Rusev held the United States Championship for 146 days.
In 2015, PWI ranked Rusev #8 of the top 500 singles stars in the PWI 500.
Some of the best matches of 2014 and 2015 featured the Bulgarian Brute. Specifically, Rusev had four great matches against John Cena. The best of these bouts was arguably at Fastlane 2015.
Speaking of John Cena, The Hero of the Russian Federation won a Slammy Award in 2014 for Best Match of the Year: Team Cena vs. Team Authority.
Currently, Rusev is a member of The League of Nations (Rusev, Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, and King Barrett), with whom he has attacked the likes of Roman Reigns and Ryback.
The League of Nations isn’t a fan favorite, but the stable surely leaves its mark on top Superstars.
Prior to the main roster, Rusev competed in NXT. Through the brand, he defeated several main roster wrestlers, including Kofi Kingston and Sin Cara.
While competing in NXT, Rusev developed his storyline with Lana. The two have gone back and forth in their relationship, which actually aids Rusev in his character development.
In between his association with Lana, he had on-screen relations with Summer Rae. This was during the same time as Rusev’s feud with Dolph Ziggler.
Although he hasn’t been in WWE for too long, Rusev still has plenty of time to reach superstardom.
