As seen on the most recent edition of “Monday Night Raw,” on April 28, Ric Flair made an appearance, giving kind words to The Shield prior to its match with Evolution at “Extreme Rules.” Many thought Flair’s appearance may very well lead to him having more of a presence on WWE programming, something the company wanted prior to WrestleMania XXX.
Now, according to a recent report by PWInsider, WWE has made an offer to the “Nature Boy” to have a regular role on WWE programming. The report notes that all Flair has to do is, “dot his I’s, cross his T’s, and get his house in order.” Not much is known regarding the, “get his house in order” task. There is speculation that Flair needs to tie up some loose ends in his personal life, prior to getting back on the road with WWE.
Additionally, in the report, it is said that Flair is expected to work with guys like Triple H and Randy Orton, if he indeed gets his stuff in order.
As previously reported, Flair is not expected to appear for the “Extreme Rules” event today, May 4. However, some have speculated that it’s possible that all is being kept quiet in order to make an appearance a surprise.
Editor’s Note
If true, I hope Flair can push through his personal matters and make a full-time return to WWE. While some thought his appearance on “Monday Night Raw” was not very good, I, on the other hand, thought it was just fine. If he does indeed return, I fully expect his work do be much better than that of last week.
It will be interesting to see if he makes an appearance at “Extreme Rules.” He expressed gratitude towards The Shield during the closing of “Monday Night Raw.” However, afterwards, during “Raw: Backstage Pass,” Flair said that right now, Evolution is the man. Continuing, he said The Shield will have to beat the man, to become the man.
