WWE Reportedly Planning to Release Owen Hart Documentary

Thursday, May 7, 2015 would have been the late Owen Hart’s 50th birthday. In uplifting news, on that same day, a report from WrestlingDVDNews.com revealed that WWE is hard at work putting together a documentary for the two-time Intercontinental Champion. The documentary will be part of a DVD and Blu-ray set for the Canadian star.

The Owen Hart DVD and Blu-ray set is currently under work with the full support from Owen’s Widow, Martha Hart, and The Hart family. Martha Hart and WWE have been at odds since the 1999 “Over the Edge” pay-per-view, where Owen tragically passed away. Since then, the two sides have had a number of legal battles.

Earlier in May, WWE released a short YouTube feature, title Inside The Hart Family Dungeon. Within the video, new interview footage of WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart was included. It is believed that the YouTube video showcased a snippet of a lengthier Bret Hart interview, which will be heavily used in the Owen Hart feature.
