One of the first countries to get the WWE Network outside of the United States was Canada. In late July, WWE signed a 10-year deal with Canadian television company Rogers Communications. Within the deal, it was announced that previews of the WWE Network would be available on Aug. 12 for Rogers subscribers. Shortly after, the WWE Network came to Canada as a television channel, available to subscribers of the cable provider.
However, Canadians will now be able to stream the WWE Network on their personal computers. On Jan. 20, WWE ran an advertisement on its Canadian webpage about the WWE Network being expanded. Existing subscribers to the WWE Network can login with their Rogers cable subscription information to receive the WWE Network on their desktops and laptops.
The version of the network is the same that first launched in the United States on Feb. 24, 2014, and in the United Kingdom and Ireland on Jan. 19, 2015. Additionally, the advertisement from Jan. 20 notes that the WWE Network costs $11.99 Canadian, about $9.90 American, not including taxes.
Editor’s Note
Good news for those in Canada who have already subscribed to the WWE Network. They’ll now have the entire WWE Network On Demand library for their viewing, in addition to more convenient streaming platforms.
