As we previously reported, Matt Morgan was released from his TNA contract on July 9, 2013. Morgan is one of a handful of talents from TNA to be released due to the financial struggles the company are currently facing. However, Morgan  was the one to initially ask for his release. Since taking Impact on the road and recording live every two weeks, TNA has had to make many cuts to try and save money. Even with these cuts in expenses, many talents are still being paid late, most notably Hulk Hogan.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE is interested in bringing back 7’0” the behemoth. Up until his return to TNA on September 15, 2012, Morgan teased a return to WWE many times. Matt Morgan appeared on WWE’s SmackDown brand for three years from 2003 up until July of 2005. Even though he never found much success in WWE during his tenure, the former TNA World Tag Team Champion could make a good addition to the roster.
