As we previously reported, WWE star Roman Reigns underwent emergency surgery for an incarcerated hernia on Saturday, Sept. 20. The surgery will cause Reigns to miss the “Night of Champions” event from Nashville, Tennessee. At the event, Reigns was slated to face Seth Rollins.
About 10 minutes prior to 1 p.m. EST on Sept. 20, WWE was promoting a live update on Roman Reigns’ condition set for the WWE Network. However, as of this writing (1:55 p.m. EST,) no such update occurred. Instead, many fans tuned into the WWE Network, only to see CM Punk’s Beyond the Ring documentary air, with no interruption for a Roman Reigns update.
F4WOnline was anticipating the update as well, surprised to see nothing announced. The website would note that one of the change in plans that WWE was working on fell through, possibly causing the delay or cancelation of the live WWE Network update. Additionally, the insider website notes that it too will update its previous information.
WrestlingRumors.net will keep you up-to-date on the matter, and let you know if an update does occur on the WWE Network.
Editor’s Note
Yikes, to advertise something with short notice, and not show it is pretty maddening. Of course, CM Punk’s documentary was airing at the time to boot.
