On the Dec. 22 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” another vignette for former NXT Tag Team Champions The Ascension was shown. Within the vignette, a hidden message was contained regarding when the duo, Viktor and Konnor, will make the transition to working full-time on the main WWE roster.

Transcribed, are The Ascension’s words:
The end is near. The storm is rising. Evacuate, or ride the lightning…because next week you’ve got a date with destruction. Because we are The Ascension! Welcome to the wasteland.
The poetic promo hints towards The Ascension debuting “next week,” which points towards two possible dates for The Ascension’s debut: the Dec. 29 showing of “Monday Night Raw” or the Jan. 2 edition of “Smackdown.”
While The New Day would end up debuting on “Smackdown,” it seems much more likely that WWE would instead have two of its rising stars debut on live television during a three-hour show. When considering the fact that part of WWE’s main roster will be absent for the Dec. 29 “Raw” due to its live event holiday tour, “Raw” looks like the safe bet.
Editor’s Note
Awesome. It would be cool to see The Ascension debut by making a huge impact right out the gate, possibly targeting special guest hosts Edge and Christian.
