At WWE’s biggest event of the summer, “SummerSlam,” Brock Lesnar conquered John Cena, winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The following night on “Monday Night Raw,” Lesnar was presented with the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship, featuring the company’s new official logo. It also marked the retirement of the “Big Gold Belt,” first made famous in NWA and WCW.
Brock Lesnar is all but confirmed to work “Night of Champions,” which will be built like a WrestleMania caliber event. Despite this, no dates have been added to Brock Lesnar’s WWE schedule.
His schedule remains unchanged from how it was on July 30. With the Aug. 18 edition of “Monday Night Raw” in the rear view mirror, Lesnar has just one more advertised appearance leading to the “Night of Champions” pay-per-view. WWE.com only advertises Lesnar for the Sept. 15 showing of “Monday Night Raw,” which serves as the “go-home” show to “Night of Champions.
Lesnar is still not advertised for “Night of Champions” itself, so he may be added to more “Monday Night Raw” episodes at some point down the road.
Next week on “Monday Night Raw,” John Cena is set to address the WWE Universe about Lesnar’s colossal destruction of him at “SummerSlam.”
Editor’s Note
I would think Lesnar will appear on at least one more “Monday Night Raw” before the “go-home” show.
