On Wednesday, July 16, WWE.com posted the latest sit-down interview between Michael Cole and WWE COO Triple H. It was the first time the two had talked since July 2, as Chris Jericho was Cole’s guest last week, due to The Authority’s vacation. As always, the two talked about the hottest topics in regards to the current WWE product.

In regards to a Plan B or even the “Plan C” mentioned by Paul Heyman on “Monday Night Raw,” Triple H said all he wants is stability back in WWE. Continuing, he noted that he wants the correct “face of WWE” to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. “The King of Kings” doesn’t know if it will be Seth Rollins, Kane, Randy Orton, or even whoever Paul Heyman has up his sleeve, but the WWE COO does have a plan in place. He predicted that at “Battleground,” whoever he wants to be WWE World Heavyweight Champion, will become the champ.

Triple H went on to talk about Dean Ambrose’s eventual encounter with Seth Rollins at the pay-per-view. He would being by praising Ambrose for the beating he took from Rollins, Kane, and Randy Orton on “Raw,” noting that it took a lot of guts to say, ‘is that all you got?’ Continuing, he gave a storyline update on Ambrose’s injury status. “HHH” noted that Ambrose was taken to a hospital, where he refused treatment.

Michael Cole then brought up Sting being the pre-order bonus for “WWE 2K15.” Triple H called Sting one of the greatest legends in the entire industry. He brought up possible fantasy matchups that can now be had in the video game.

Cole quickly transitioned to the million dollar question, asking, “will Sting in the flesh ever step foot in a WWE ring.”

Triple H responded:

“That’s an interesting question, Michael. There’s been a lot of speculation over the years, and again, over the years, I had heard that Bruno Sammartino would never be part of WWE again. I heard, for years, that The Ultimate Warrior would never be part of WWE again. I’ve also heard that Sting would never ever be part of WWE. There’s one thing I’ve learned over the years: never say never, if it’s best for business. “

Editor’s Note

The Sting quote is the big takeaway from this sit-down interview. I honestly think we could see Sting debut in WWE soon. What better way to make “Night of Champions” feel special than Sting’s debut match in WWE?
