In 2014, Paramount Pictures distributed “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” which served as a reboot of the popular film and movie franchise. Despite a fair share of negative reviews, the film was a box office success, grossing more than $485 million worldwide.
Due to the film’s financial success, a sequel, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2,” is already in the act of being produced. Much of the cast and crew from the first picture have returned for the project, which is currently slated to hit theaters in June of 2016.
A recent piece ran by The Daily Mail showcased pictures depicting four of the villains involved in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” on set. Interestingly enough, WWE Superstar Sheamus is on set for the film, portraying Rocksteady.
Below is a photo of Sheamus, accompanied by Gary Anthony Williams, who is playing Bebop, courtesy of Splash News:
The two differ greatly from their counterparts in the 1980s cartoon series. Bebop was a humanoid warthog, while Rocksteady was a rhinoceros.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion appears to be no stranger to the big screen, as there were numerous rumors and reports that the “Celtic Warrior” was doing work for the upcoming Star Wars feature. It is believed Sheamus stood in as Darth Vader for some of the Vader’s scenes.
